Object One

The most exciting project never build.
Object One offered unlimited freedom within a structural grid. Buyers could choose how much space they wanted—vertically and horizontally—and design and build a home to suit their needs.
The bold palette of façade materials, window types and outdoor spaces called for careful detailing. We developed a general wall structure that could accommodate different façade finishes and both flush and recessed windows.
The integrated outdoor spaces added another layer of complexity. The floors and ceilings above needed to be fully insulated while still allowing for a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors.
Within the structure, dedicated zones for bathrooms and kitchens, combined with a smart layout of service shafts, allowed for maximum flexibility. Steel columns and beams paired with prefabricated concrete floors made it possible to incorporate voids and staircases.
