St. Annastraat 41

Hilversum | 1996 | residential | De Beer & Winnubst Architecten

1996, so I must have been 15 years old. At the beginning of the fourth year of high school we had to do an internship at a company of our own choice.

At the time, I really wanted to become an architect. Through my father, Paul Südkamp, who worked at the spatial planning department in Amsterdam, I was able to get an internship at de Beer & Winnubst architects in 's Graveland.

This was really exciting! I had to commute by bus and had my own drawing board at their office. I spent a whole week slaving over the section below. A house renovation with an odd shaped roof expansion.

Looking back, with today's knowledge, I think I did an outstanding job.
