Steel Log Kit is a revolutionary, lightweight construction system made from steel tubes. Every element is custom-made on site, reducing transportation and waste to a minimum. With just a small team, the main structural frame of a building can be assembled within a few hours. No foundation, no cement, no screws or heavy equipment are needed.
I was asked to develop the system’s architectural details within the constraints of its structural tubes. Working closely with the client, we explored a wide range of possibilities. In line with the system’s design philosophy, we developed a set of standard architectural details for future projects. I also supported the development of an initial demonstration project in Aveiro.
